Executor Service

Royal Blue Executors offer a formal Executor Service.  If you are the person named in a will to carry out the wishes of the deceased person, responsible for administering the deceased’s entire estate. As the Will Executor that means taking legal responsibility for everything: securing their property and their possessions, locating and collecting in their assets, valuing real estate, jewellery and antiques and deciding what to sell, arranging the payment of their debts and taxes, selling their home, closing down bank accounts and ensuring that what is left is distributed strictly according to the instructions left in the Will.

  • You may feel unprepared and unable to commit to this responsibility
  • You may live overseas and not able to fly home to administer the estate
  • You may be working full time and unable to commit to the 60+ hours that national statistics say is needed on average for an executor role

The emotional aspect of dealing with a bereavement – even one that was expected – can be devastating, and the practicalities of what to do next it can be overwhelming.  For these and a wide variety of other reasons, you may be unable or unwilling to take on the responsibilities of being an executor.

Royal Blue Executors can step in to take on full responsibility for administering the estate for you.

As experienced executors, we are familiar with Probate and Estate Administration procedures. We are familiar dealing with HMRC and the Probate Registry, banks and other financial institutions, Share Holding registries, utility suppliers, impatient beneficiaries and bereaved relatives, and this familiarity can minimise the time the probate process takes by months.

We are also aware of the pitfalls executors face and carry the appropriate liability insurance. We work with registered solicitors and accountants to file final tax returns, draw up the required estate accounts and pay Inheritance Tax.  These solicitors and accountants are licensed and insured to operate secure Client Accounts, protected by the solicitors’ compensation fund, to ensure financial security and peace of mind.

We also hold added services to help with the House Clearance and Sale – depending on the requirement.

Will Executor service‘Being executor means that I have to deal with so many bureaucrats and offices that ask banal, practical questions about my mother’s bank accounts, pension and tax affairs while I am struggling to process that I will never see her again- it is very, very hard, and I wish I had known that there was a professional executor service that I could have used’

** Please note that Royal Blue Executors do not offer LEGAL or FINANCIAL advice, and restricts itself to non-contentious probate applications **
